What is Kava?

Also known as Piper Methysticum, and Kava Kava, Kava is a small shrub in the pepper family that is native to the islands in the south pacific. The roots are made into a therapeutic, psychoactive beverage, Kava has been used for centuries in spiritual tribal ceremonies.

How will Kava make me feel?

The active compounds in Kava are called Kavalactones, Kavalactones stimulates GABA & dopamine receptors in the body. This calms the user. elevates mood, and boosts ones sociability. Kava is mildly intoxicating, with psychoactive effects being reported to be similar to alcohol.
What is the recommended dose?

We recommend novice users to start with half of our 500mg shot, while those who are sensitive to medications and other substances, we recommend to start with a forth of a 500mg shot.

What are the side effects & health concerns?

The first side effect any Kava user experiences is numbness of mouth on consumption. This is normal because Kavalactones contain muscle relaxing and numbing properties. Other common side effects are drowsiness, indigestion, and headache. It is highly recommended to not take Kava with alcohol and/or other mediciations as this may lead to liver damage. While risk is rare, Kava can tie up enzymes in the liver used to metabolize other drugs, causing them to accumulate in and damage the liver. Please ask a healthcare professional before use if you have or have had liver problems. Do not use while nuring or pregnant.
Is Kava safe?

Yes, when consumed responsibly. Kava has been used safely for thousands of years across Pacific Island cultures. Like anything, moderation is key. We recommend following the suggested use on each product and not exceeding the recommended serving size. If you have liver conditions or take prescription medications, consult your doctor before use.
How long do the effects of Kava last?

Most people feel the effects of kava within 15–30 minutes of drinking it. Effects typically last 1–3 hours depending on your body weight, metabolism, and whether you've eaten recently.
Are these products FDA approved?

No. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. They are dietary/botanical supplements intended for adult use.

What products does Paradise Kava offer?

We currently offer three ready-to-drink kava shots: Classic Kava (pure kava), Kava + Kratom (with Lion's Mane and GABA), and Kava + Delta 9 (with hemp-derived delta-9 THC). Each shot is perfectly dosed and ready to drink. No mixing required.
How many shots can I take?

We recommend starting with one-forth to half of a shot, especially if it's your first time. Give it 30 minutes to feel the full effect before deciding if you want more. Do not exceed the suggested serving size listed on the label.
Can I mix the shots together?

We don't recommend mixing shots, as each formula is carefully dosed on its own. Combining them could result in a stronger effect than intended.
Do your shots contain alcohol?

No. None of our shots contain alcohol. That's kind of the point.
What does the Vanilla Berry Crumble shot taste like?

It's exactly what it sounds like — sweet, rich, and dessert-inspired with bold berry and vanilla notes. It's one of the smoothest shots in our lineup and a great entry point if you're new to kava.

Kratom + Delta 9
What is kratom?

Kratom is a plant native to Southeast Asia that has been used traditionally for its energizing and mood-enhancing properties. In our Kava + Kratom shot, kratom provides focus, energy, and mood lift while the kava smooths out the stimulation and adds body relaxation.
What is delta-9 THC?

Delta-9 THC is the primary active compound in cannabis. Our Kava + Delta 9 shot uses hemp-derived delta-9 THC, which is federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill when derived from hemp and present in quantities at or below 0.3% by dry weight.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3–7 business days depending on your location. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
What is your return policy?

Due to the nature of consumable products, we are unable to accept returns on opened items. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with proof of purchase and we'll make it right.
How do I track my order?

Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number. You can use this to track your package directly through the carrier's website.
